One of those licenses has been issued for the Bally’s/888 partnership, while the other one has been granted for the Caesars’ online property. While a dedicated online Bally’s site appears unlikely, Caesars Entertainment has already launched a number of online casinos under the Bally’s license, which include Harrahs Online Casino, WSOP.com Online Poker, as well as an 888-branded New Jersey operation.
Furthermore, it is worth pointing out that Caesars affiliated sites have been fairly successful in financial terms, as their combined revenue reached consistently reaches $3 million per month, and occasionally reaches $4 million.
Any hypothetical Bally’s site would most likely be powered by 888 software, which hasn’t been the best performer in the NJ online casino market. Thus, Caesars Entertainment might be unwilling to introduce yet another casino site based on this platform, especially now that the market is flooded with top-flight sites.
All in all, the only thing that remains certain at this point in time is the fact that a Bally’s-branded online casino hasn’t been mentioned in any of the official press releases dealing with the company’s activities on the New Jersey’s new internet gambling market.
Bally’s Casino
With almost 2000 rooms, Bally’s Atlantic City is one of the largest hotel and casino resorts located in the New Jersey area and is currently owned by Caesars Entertainment. The resort was built by Bally Manufacturing after the company demolished the Marlborough-Blenheim Hotel and opened in 1979 as Bally’s Park Place.
The first casino at Bally’s was opened in the adjacent Dennis Hotel building – but the total gaming space was expanded in 1997 with the addition of the Wild Wild West Casino at Bally’s.
As a result, the total size of casino floor exceeds 225,000 square feet with over 5000 slot machines and numerous traditional casino games such as Keno, roulette, baccarat or blackjack.
Bally’s Atlantic City used to have an additional lounge-casino located in the Claridge Tower, but the tower has been sold in 2013 to be reopened as a separate hotel. All in all, the resort has been renovated four times in 1983, 1994, 2005 and 2009, which shouldn’t be all that surprising if you consider the fact that both Claridge Tower and Dennis Tower are over 80 years old.

The new Ocean Resort Casino, now called Ocean Casino Resort, in Atlantic City officially opened its doors on June 28, alongside Hard Rock Atlantic City. Ocean Casino sportsbook
Ocean Resort launched its land-based sportsbook and bar in July 2018, which became only the second physical sportsbook to open in Atlantic City — the other being Borgata Casino — until the other Atlantic City casinos caught up with NJ sports betting.
However, Ocean’s online sportsbook has yet to launch, even though the company is partnered with British bookmaker William Hill, who runs a successful online operation for European and Nevada players.
An NJ online sports betting app is something we’re likely to see from Ocean in the future.
Ocean Casino Resort online NJ platform
Ocean Resort’s online casino is powered by GAN, a UK-based developer and winner of the E-Gaming Review of North America’s Casino Platform of the Year Award in 2015 and 2016. GAN has also worked with another New Jersey online casino, Betfair NJ.
The developer’s excellence is demonstrated in Ocean Resort Casino’s smooth user experience and intuitive menu design. Although the casino’s game selection is still in its early days, the site has aesthetic appeal.
The background picture is a visually pleasing shot of the Ocean Casino tower in Atlantic City, with a deep blue sky in the background. When switching between the different game categories on offer, there is no generic loading screen. Instead, the titles animate across the screen, creating a seamless transition.
The casino’s games use Flash, which is supported by most modern desktop browsers, including Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox.
Ocean Casino’s mobile platform

Email support at Ocean leaves a lot to be desired. It took several responses until we were able to communicate our question effectively, and the answer we received wasn’t satisfactory.
We found live chat to be a much better option, although it infrequently closes and reopens at seemingly random times. The agents here were helpful and efficient, although it took a while to connect us to an available representative.
However, one annoying feature of the casino’s live chat is that you can’t minimize it and continue browsing or playing games. Instead, you have to refresh the page to close the chat window, losing your chat connection.
This is an issue Ocean could easily address, even though it is just a minor hitch. The most reliable option is to visit the physical casino in Atlantic City where you will be more likely to find higher-up staff or management to answer your query.
